Flexible, Affordable, Catered 3 Day Short Ski Breaks

If your snow cravings are getting out of control whilst you work more and earn less, consider a short ski break - the most skiing you can get for your time and money!

Normally, you book chalets in weeks. That's just how it goes - weekly bookings allow chalet owner to fill their availability most effectively, guarantee staff regular employment and generally make life a little less complicated.

Unfortunately, life is complicated. The minimum stay on chalets used to be a great excuse to have a longer holiday - 'sigh, I'll have to ski for a whole week' - but in recent years, things have got tougher. That kind of extravagance is becoming harder to justify.

There's either a lot on at work or a long line of hopeful candidates waiting for your job. You haven't skied for six months and it might be a whole year before you can spare a week of holiday, what with christmas, anniversaries, birthdays and other family matters. You need a break, you need a mountain, you need to speed down some slopes fresh with snow. You're almost ready to fork out for a week's rent just to stay for a weekend - almost being the operative word. More and more people are short of money as well as time in the current economic climate, a state of affairs which is taking its toll on the ski industry.

Rate of decline in UK skiers

The ski market fell by 13.3% in 2008 - 9 season and a further 11% the following year reckons crystal holidays, a key player in the ski industry and a reliable source. The rate of decline is slowing down: the market only dropped by 1.8% in the 2012- 13 season. Yet, the overall decline of the past four years is significant. The upshot is, the industry is adapting to cater for skiiers who are slightly less flush and slightly more rushed.

Giving you what you need - Shorter, Cheaper Breaks

Ski resorts and tour operaters are offering increasingly competitive prices, finding ways to offer more for less and gain a bigger share of a shrinking market. One way is to team up with chalet owners, developing strategic partnerships so they can offer holiday makers exactly what they want, when they want it and for the best possible price.

A growing number of companies are offering short breaks at extremely low prices, organising accomodation, meals, airport transfers and lift passes so that overworked and underpaid ski enthusiasts can get their skiing fix. Its worth checking out websites like skiweekender.com, or you can find a more varied selection of affordable short break options on chaletfinder.co.uk
