PassPortes du Soleil: Epic Mountain Biking Festival

On the 28th, 29th and 30th June 2013, 4000 bikers will ride a 80km circuit through 9 French and Swiss resorts, tasting local food and music along the way

The Pass'Portes du Soliel is unmissable; a mountain biking festival with 4 000 bikers traversing 9 French and Swiss resorts, marking the official opening of the lifts in Portes de Soleil for the summer season. Bikers of all shapes, sizes and levels turn up to ride a 80km trail across Avoriaz, Châtel, Les Gets, Morzine, Montriond-Les Lindarets, Champéry, Morgins, Torgon and Les Crosets.

Its not a race - its a festival! The Pass'Portes du Soleil is about enjoying mountain biking with like-minded people, soaking up the atmosphere and embracing beautiful scenery, music and culinary delights. The trail is 1000m uphill and 7000m downhill, making use of the 14 lifts in the area to give chilled thrills. The lifts are especially handy as the bike festival happily coincides with a lively food festival. It would take a superhuman biker to charge uphill instead of enjoying the delicious, locally sourced food and authentic music provided by eight out of the nine resorts.
